A marble architectural model in Grand Tour style of the Temple of Vespasian and Titus, whose three surviving Corinthian columns still stand in the Roman Forum. Souvenir models like this were collected by travellers on the Grand Tour as a memory of ancient Rome.

The piece is hand-carved in white marble with a sand-coloured coating and set on a black marble plinth. The three fluted columns rise from a stepped brick podium, with finely cut Corinthian capitals and a fragment of inscribed entablature above.

It reads as a quiet, scholarly object for a desk, bookshelf or console, and suits a classical or collector's interior. Also available in fully white veined marble.
