Mathilde Lantern – Louis XVI Hall Lantern, Bronze

The Mathilde is a handmade hall lantern in the much-loved Louis XVI style. The frame is quality bronze with a warm, antique patina, dressed with decorative scrolls and stylised bows, a signature motif of the French Louis XVI period.

The clear glass panels, subtly etched with floral motifs, give a soft spread of light, while the rounded glazed body diffuses it gently. The lantern carries four candle-shaped lights and a scrolled crown, and the bows add to the period feel. It creates an intimate light in any room, and works in both classical and contemporary interiors.

The wired Mathilde is supplied with a chain, so it is easy to hang, and it takes an E14 fitting. A good choice for a hallway, landing or sitting room that calls for a classical hanging lantern.

All of our products come with a 24-month warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and care.
