This bronze sculpture is a fine reproduction of the celebrated Dancing Faun with Cymbals, in the tradition of the antique dancing fauns. The design follows the classical marble in the Uffizi collection in Florence. The subject was a favourite during the Grand Tour of the 18th and 19th centuries, when travellers carried home bronze casts like this as a mark of culture and good taste.

It is cast by hand using the traditional lost-wax method and finished with a brown patina; a green patina is also available.

On a sideboard, a desk or an open shelf, this piece makes an easy link between classical antiquity and a modern interior. A lasting object for the collector of historically inspired bronze and the refined taste of the Grand Tour.
