This bronze horse head is made from dark-patinated bronze in the classical style, recalling the antique horse heads of the Parthenon tradition such as the horse of Selene. The strong, slightly open-mouthed profile and cropped mane give it real presence.
The sculpture is made entirely by hand using the traditional lost-wax method, which holds the fine detail of the mane, the veining and the modelled muscle.
