Bronze Hunting Black Panther

This bronze panther is inspired by the famous model by Rembrandt Bugatti (1884–1916), the Italian sculptor who became famous in the early 20th century for his animal studies. Bugatti observed his subjects in the Jardin des Plantes in Paris, where he captured animals in motion with unprecedented precision and sensitivity.

The sculpture depicts the panther in a moment of quiet strength: its foreleg extended, its muscles subtly tensed, its tail slightly arched upward. The surface bears traces of the original modeling, giving the bronze a vibrant texture and creating the impression that the animal could move on at any moment.

The sculpture is crafted from bronze and cast using the traditional lost-wax method (cire perdue). This technique, used since ancient times, guarantees rich detail and lasting quality. The dark brown patinated bronze finish gives the sculpture a contemporary look.
