Art Deco Side Table – Ritz

The Ritz is a French Art Deco side table with the easy luxury of the Roaring Twenties. Its round top is laid in burr walnut veneer, full of warm tones and natural figure, and a soft lacquer sheen adds the finishing touch. A small contrasting walnut roundel sits at the centre of the top.

The base is worked in the same burr walnut, so the piece reads as one material throughout. The legs curve outward in a tulip shape and meet at a faceted walnut block at the foot, which gives the table its balanced, sculptural stance. It is made by hand with care over the figure and the join lines.

Use the Ritz as a small round coffee table in an Art Deco room, as a lamp table, or as a bedside table. It pairs well with other period pieces, such as an Art Deco lamp or a geometric rug, for a setting that holds together.
