Art Deco Side Table – Flapper

The Flapper is a French Art Deco side table that looks back to the Jazz Age. Its round top is laid in warm burr walnut veneer, framed by a band of darker wood, and the glossy lacquer brings out the figure and the deep colour. It is the kind of piece that draws the eye in a room.

The base keeps to clean geometric lines. Curved burr walnut legs rise to the top, each one finished with a black sphere where it meets the rim, and the dark plinth at the foot gives a measured contrast against the honey-toned wood. It is made by hand, with the veneer matched across the legs and top.

Use the Flapper as a small round coffee table in a sitting room, as a lamp table, or as a bedside table. It sits well with other Art Deco pieces, such as a geometric bronze lamp or a period mirror, for a room with a clear theme.
