Art Deco Side Table – Darcy

The Darcy art deco side table has a clear U-shaped support that points straight back to inter-war furniture design. The whole piece is finished in burr walnut veneer, recognisable by its irregular grain with small knots and flame figure. The veneer is carefully hand-selected and book-matched all round, so the grain reads as one continuous run.

Near the top sit two half-moon drawers with discreet metal knobs, suited to small items such as jewellery, reading glasses or correspondence. The round top has a low raised rim that keeps objects in place, whether a lamp, a small clock or a bronze figure. The U-shaped support stands on a round base, also in burr walnut veneer, keeping the piece compact while still holding its own in a room.

Each Darcy is made entirely by hand by craftspeople who specialise in traditional veneer work. After gluing and sanding, the wood is finished with a protective coat of varnish that deepens the warm honey tone of the burr walnut and makes the surface suitable for everyday use.

The Darcy works as a bedside table, as a small piece in a hallway or beside an armchair. Placed with other art deco furniture and art objects, it helps build a coherent interior where material, form and function line up.

All of our products come with a 24-month warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and care.
