Art Deco Round Coffee Table – Speakeasy

The Speakeasy is an Art Deco coffee table that recalls the hidden bars of the Roaring Twenties, where the drink flowed and the jazz played. Its round top is laid in warm burr walnut veneer, with the soft glow and natural figure of the wood, while the apron and legs are cut from striped walnut for a two-tone effect. A lacquer finish adds a quiet sheen.

The base keeps to clean geometric lines, with legs that curve up in an open U from a stepped black plinth at the foot. The darker striped wood sets off the lighter burr top and points up the considered shaping of the frame.

Use the Speakeasy as a round coffee table in an Art Deco sitting room, or as a generous bedside table. It pairs well with other period pieces, such as a bronze Art Deco lamp or a geometric mirror, for a room with the feel of the Jazz Age.
