Art Deco Console Table – Armstrong

The Armstrong is a French Art Deco console table that brings a little of the 1920s into a hallway or living room. Its half-moon top is laid in warm burr walnut veneer, full of rich colour and expressive grain, and the lacquer finish adds depth while protecting the wood.

The base is a clean demilune in the same burr walnut, edged with a band of black. Two black-lacquered legs sweep up from the foot to the underside of the top, so the table reads as elegant and streamlined at once. The pairing of burr walnut and black lacquer gives a balanced contrast.

This handmade console is a versatile piece. Set it in an entrance hall as the first thing you see on arrival, or use it in a living room as a place for a lamp and a few decorative objects. It pairs well with other Art Deco pieces, such as an animalier bronze sculpture, for a genuine 1920s feel.
