The Burlington art deco bookcase is a sculptural piece that brings the 1930s back into a modern interior. Its open grid of twelve even compartments is built from figured burr walnut veneer, with a warm honey glow and lively grain. The rounded top corners give it the soft, architectural line typical of French art deco furniture.

The wood is hand-selected, cut and finished with several coats of varnish to bring out the natural depth and figure of the burr walnut. The bookcase sits on an elegant plinth with gently curved contours, raised on small black ball feet that create a subtle floating effect, a quiet reference to the play of light, shadow and geometry that defines the period.

The Burlington works as both a functional bookcase and an architectural object. Use it for art, books or special collections; each compartment becomes a small stage in its own right. In a living room, library or hallway it brings the warmth and precision of period craftsmanship into a contemporary setting.
