Deze Romeinse torso is geïnspireerd op de beroemde Torso van het Belvedere en is met de hand gehakt uit wit marmer en toont een mannelijk naakt: de borst en buik zijn onbedekt. Het beeld is bewust als fragment uitgevoerd — zonder hoofd, armen en benen — en gemonteerd op een hoge, zwart marmeren sokkel.

De gefragmenteerde mannentorso staat in een lange traditie, van de beroemde Torso van het Belvedere tot het type van de Ares Borghese: antieke naakten die de beeldhouwkunst van de renaissance tot vandaag hebben gevormd.

Als sculptuurfragment werkt de torso als rustige blikvanger op een sokkel of console, en zet hij een klassiek accent in zowel een modern als een traditioneel interieur.
