Chinese Lidded Jars Milou – Pair

This pair of Chinese porcelain lidded jars, named Milou, is inspired by antique examples from the Qing dynasty. Each jar is entirely hand-painted in deep cobalt blue with a continuous phoenix motif — a symbol of renewal and prosperity in Chinese culture. The lids are crowned by finely modelled Fo lions (Buddhist temple lions), traditional guardians of harmony and protection.

Made from a porcelain blend of pure kaolin and feldspar (petuntse) and fired at over 1400 °C, the jars exhibit the dense, resonant body and luminous glaze that distinguish fine Chinese porcelain.

Every detail, from the glaze to the subtle antiqued finish, evokes the charm and authenticity of historic pieces. Elegant yet commanding, the Milou jars make a refined addition to any interior — perfect on a console, mantelpiece, or within a cabinet display.

All of our products come with a 24-month warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and care.
