Chinese Brush Pots - Jasmine

This pair of Chinese porcelain brush pots, titled “Jasmine” is inspired by antique scholar’s studio pieces. Each pot is hand-formed from fine kaolin and petuntse porcelain and decorated in indigo blue with a delicate jasmine scroll pattern applied through refined transfer technique.

Fired at over 1,400 °C, the porcelain achieves its characteristic hardness, clear tone, and bright glaze. Subtle irregularities and nuanced ageing of the glaze lend each pot a distinguished, time-worn surface that evokes the quiet dignity of historical originals.

Originally used for calligraphy brushes, these vessels also serve beautifully today as cachepots, floral vases, or understated decorative accents for desk or cabinet.
