Art Deco Bedside Table – Beaumont

The Beaumont Art Deco Bedside Table brings together characteristic wood types from the 1930s in a compact piece of furniture. Its rounded form and layered base refer to French Art Deco furniture that gained popularity around 1925, where volume and the expressive quality of wood were central to the design.

The Beaumont is composed of two drawers with geometrically inlaid rosewood veneer fronts. Such patterns were widely used during the Art Deco period to introduce depth and rhythm into the surface. The contrast between the lighter inlaid drawer fronts and the deeper-toned body enhances the graphic character that is typical of this style.

Between the two drawers sits an open shelf, suitable for books or small objects. Both the interior and exterior of the piece clearly reveal the natural grain of the wood, which remains distinctly visible thanks to the lacquered finish.

The bedside table can be used next to a bed, but due to its height and layout it is equally suited as a side piece in a living room or office. The design pairs well with other Art Deco elements such as a bronze sculpture, a Tiffany lamp or other Art Deco decorative objects.
