Art Deco Nachtkastje – Beaumont

Het Art Deco Nachtkastje Beaumont combineert kenmerkende houtsoorten uit de jaren ’30 in één compact meubelstuk. De afgeronde vorm en gelaagde sokkel verwijzen naar het Franse Art Deco-meubilair dat rond 1925 populair werd, waarbij volume en houtstructuur centraal stonden.

De Beaumont is opgebouwd uit twee laden met geometrisch ingelegd palissander hout fineer. Dit patroon werd in de Art Deco-periode veel toegepast om diepte en ritme in het oppervlak te verkrijgen. Het contrast tussen het lichte ingelegde front en het diepere hout van het lichaam versterkt de grafische uitstraling die typisch was voor deze stijl.

Tussen de twee laden bevindt zich een open plateau dat geschikt is voor boeken of kleine objecten. De binnenzijde en buitenzijde van het meubel tonen duidelijk de natuurlijke tekening van het hout, die door de lakafwerking helder zichtbaar blijft.

Het nachtkastje kan worden gebruikt naast het bed, maar is door zijn hoogte en indeling ook geschikt als bijzetmeubel in een woonkamer of kantoor. Het ontwerp sluit goed aan bij andere Art Deco elementen zoals een bronzen sculptuur, tiffany lamp of andere art deco decoratie.
