The mix is fired at around 1400°C, which produces a fully vitrified, non-porous body. That hardness and density are clear from the real weight of the piece and the clear, singing note the porcelain makes when tapped.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe pyramid is built from three separate stacking sections, all hand-formed and hand-decorated, and given a softly aged finish in the spirit of antique originals. It holds short-stemmed tulips and other cut flowers across its many spouts, and also stands well on its own as a sculptural accent in a classic or modern interior.
